"If I Die Young," is the follow-up to The Band Perry's debut single,"Hip To My Heart. Written solo by lead singer Kimberly, the song is a weighty, introspective take on life’s evanescence.
The lush, thought-provoking video was directed by David McClister, (Lady Antebellum, LeAnn Rimes), was shot at Nashville’s historic Two Rivers Mansion.
Kimberly talks about the song with TheBoot.com:
" 'If I Die Young' is actually the first song that we had penned for the album. It defines an early chapter of our music career. We penned it on a cloudy day in East Tennessee, which is where we live and do all of our best thinking. We wanted to write a song about making the most of whatever time you're given -- whether it's two years, twenty years or two hundred."
The siblings, Kimberly, Neil and Reid Perry - will release their first album (self-titled)on October 12.
